Your Facebook past is coming back: Timeline mandatory

Every status, every friend added, every comment, every photo, every video of my entire social media past: right there for all of my 'friends' to see. And my kids, so many pictures of my kids. But the idea of the hundreds of "friends" I'd managed to pick up since opening the account suddenly seeing a never-endind scroll of smiling kids (even if they are the world's cutest) just didn't feel right. Pictures of 22-year-old me playing a rock show in a sundress. Which was fine for the out-of-town relatives who wanted to look at pictures of my kids. I remember posting all of them, but they were neatly tucked away in albums that you had to make a bit of an effort to see. I switched over to a Timeline in late December and everything I've ever posted was suddenly streaming before my eyes, the browser window was bottomless.

MCM Mama: Friday Randomness

I've enjoyed it so much that I've started running races (not winning, just running).  I did four miles in very small loops around my neighborhood, including 8 times around the block in front of my house. I ran the Marine Corps Marathon in 2008 and now have a goal of running a race in all 50 states. I'm a 30 something mom of two boys (Jones and Shoo) who started running to overcome postpartum depression.  Despite the heat and humidity, I actually ran them nearly a minute faster per mile than the three I did in the morning. I did manage to get in my second run. While I was down on my hands and knees scrubbing the shower tonight, I asked Shoo to get me a big cup of water from the sink.  Apparently in his world, princesses dress in trampy clothes and scrub bathrooms.
