Some Comments on the Rise and Fall of Twinkies
The dessert snacks that kids of my generation wistfully remember tucked away in our Captain Planet lunchboxes are Gushers, Fruit Roll-Ups, Fruit by the Foot, Shark Bites and Dunkaroos, much more, I think, than Ho Hos, Ding Dongs, Sno Balls,... (“Yes,” said the cashier, “I have noticed a lot of people buying Twinkies lately. ) Of course, in the days after Hostess filed for bankruptcy, I could not help but do as so many others have done: I ran out to the store to buy a Twinkie. Eating a Twinkie, as I did for the second time in my life on the train back to New York, is like biting into a different era. We grew up with Tony the Tiger , Chester Cheetah and the Keebler Elves , but we’re not well-acquainted, if at all, with Twinkie the Kid. To me, a Twinkie isn’t filled with nostalgia, but with overly sweet and surprisingly dense fluff. (And given Twinkies’ mythic longevity, perhaps that’s exactly what I did.

Not bad, but I would have preferred a later expiration date. It's a lot of cookies, but the price is very good compared to the local grocery store. and remember it's BAKED. Just the right size to take along on a car or train trip. A Baked snack. They taste the way nutter butters should

Okay so ive looked all over the internet and stores around where i live and i cant find them anywhere. I have a craving for them. I looked on ebay and they want like $10 for them and then an extra $10 to ship them. I DONT THINK SO! And amazon wants them


My granddaughters were so happy that we could get this item (Dunkaroos) who are now 15 and almost 18) that I bought for them when they were small....
